Currently, access to SiberID still relies on your registered email address. This maintains stability and security while we transition to a fully centralized credential system.
Students can log in directly using university portal credentials. Through this integration, students securely claim and link their Student ID (NIM) to their SiberID account.
We have successfully expanded portal access to lecturers. Through this integration, lecturers can now securely claim and link their NIP to their SiberID account.
Single Sign-On is integrated with the campus Wi-Fi network via FreeRADIUS. Students and staff can view and manage their dedicated Wi-Fi credentials directly from the SiberID profile dashboard.
Currently connecting all campus applications under one roof via OIDC/OAuth 2.0: e-Learning (LMS), Library, SIAKAD, and mobile apps with PKCE support.
To better protect your data, we'll roll out an extra layer of security (like OTPs or Authenticator apps). This will be especially important for accounts handling sensitive institutional information.
Alumni and external guests will get their own dedicated way to sign in. This allows prospective students or visiting researchers to access what they need without cluttering the primary user directory.
Imagine logging in without ever typing a password. We're looking into supporting modern methods like Passkeys, Face ID, or Touch ID for a much faster and safer login experience.
